Hello!
Hello and welcome to the NDSU Libraries Course Reserves guide! My name is Megan Richardson and I handle the Reserves for NDSU Libraries.
On this guide, you'll find all the information you need to find reserves for your class, access electronic reserves, and how to put items on reserve.
Feel free to contact me anytime with any questions you may have.
What are Course Reserves?
Course Reserves consist of any materials set aside by faculty members and instructors for the exclusive use of their students.
Physical Reserves (books, CDs, DVDs) can be found at the Main Library Circulation desk or at any of our three branch libraries. They are available for a limited check-out period to allow all of the studnets in the class to have access to the material. The normal checkout period is two hours, but certain items circulate for 3 days.
Electronic reserves or E-Reserves are usually PDF files or links to online resources including journal articles, book chapters, class notes, or websites. They're accessible through the library catalog with a password provided by the instructor.
